Authorities are looking for two men who attempted to break into a fire truck Thursday night and shot at local firefighters after they were confronted.

One of the two men is believed to have been providing cover for his accomplice, who was attempting to get into the apparatus around 8:30 PM Thursday night.

According to AZ Central, when firefighters attempted to detain the burglar, his partner opened fire.

No firefighters were injured, and the two men fled on foot.

Police are asking the public to step forward with any information that could lead to an arrest.
