The female star of a TV show about firefighting is revealing her personal inspiration- her sister, who just so happens to be a LA firefighter.

Playing the role of Maya Bishop on Station 19, TV and Instagram star Danielle Savre revealed that her sister, Stephanie, was the real-life counterpart that played a major part in ensuring her role was authentic.

“It started with technical things, Savre told the Daily Mail. “What do I need to be on top of, what would I have on me. Then finally, when I got that down and we went to the training, I was like..’How would you do this in this situation?’”

Eventually, Stephanie became a sounding board for the show, helping keep a drama as realistic as possible.

Stephanie serves as Danielle’s stunt double for many of the scenes.

“I drove the engine a few times for her…and did some fire scenes,” Stephanie said.

The two sisters are excited to be an inspiration for future female firefighters.

I love my sister so much! #sisterlylove #savresisters
