Officers mourn the loss of donuts after a Krispy Kreme truck catches fire

Several Kentucky police officers expressed their sorrow when a Krispy Kreme truck caught fire in the Lexington area, posting photos to social media in an attempt to pay their respects.

The truck caught fire on Monday, resulting in a safe evacuation by the driver and leaving a blackened, charred doughnut truck.

Lexington Police officers took turns posing next to the truck, displaying their humanity with emotional facial expressions.

“No words,” Lexington Police wrote in a tweet, which has been shared around 35,000 times.

Other agencies -such as the Toledo Police department and the NYPD News page- replied to LPD, offering backup.

Fortunately for the Lexington Police, Krispy Kreme heard their pleas.

“We’re thinking of you during this difficult time,” the company said, “And have more doughnuts on the way!”
