Nipigon firefighters extricated two women from a car

Here is a picture of Ontario’s air ambulance coming in to land on the highway to transport two injured women to hospital for treatment. Accident was 35 klms east of Nipigon. Nipigon firefighters extricated two women from the car with serious injuries and they also extricated two women that had died at the scene. Scheiber Firefighters were also on scene and they extricated a single woman from the half-ton truck seen in the pictures.

The four women in the car were from out of the country (Japan) and were traveling across the country on a sight seeing tour. They had been in the country for a while as exchange students and thought they would like to see more of our country before heading home to Japan.
