Firefighters in Harris County, Texas, were dispatched to rescue a man after a trench collapsed around him.

The Spring Fire Department Technical Rescue Team and the Klein Fire Department were called at around 2:30 PM on Tuesday and worked together to free the man, who was buried up to his chest.

According to KHOU, it took nearly six hours to free the man, who suffered a fractured ankle.

It is unclear why the trench collapsed.
