An East Memphis church went up in flames Sunday evening and fire investigators have determined that the incident was not an accident.

According to Fox 13, more than 125 firefighters responded to the church fire on Sunday evening.

It took firefighters roughly five hours to put out the fully engulfed building.

The church was vacant so no civilian or firefighter was injured.

The damage to the building is estimated at more than $600,000.

Investigators say someone started multiple fires inside the building before running away.

The department has not identified a suspect.
