A Kentucky firefighter was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a co-worker at the Ludlow fire station, according to arrest reports.

Elijah Mays was charged with first-degree sexual abuse on march 23, and has since been terminated.

A part-time EMT holding the rank of lieutenant, Mays reportedly began undressing and touching a female member of the department, despite being told “no” on three or more consecutive occasions.

Despite this, Mays continued his advances, and began fondling her genitals.

When the woman tried to leave, Mays wrapped his arms around her.

According to FOX19, Mays was a member of the department from 2018 to 2020.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 12.

Prior to becoming a Firefighter/EMT, Mays served in the US Marine Corps.
