An eight-year-old girl has almost drowned after being dragged under water when her hair became trapped in the outlet of a spa pool at her Sydney home. The child was rescued by her father who resuscitated her after she stopped breathing in the pool at her home in Clanalpine Street, Mosman, about 2.20pm (AEDT) today.
“The girl’s dad rescued her and commenced (resuscitation),” a New South Wales Ambulance spokesman said. “The girl then started breathing on her own.”
It was not known how long she spent underwater.
She was taken semi-conscious and in a serious condition to the Royal North Shore Hospital.
