Rescue workers aided a man who may have passed out or experienced a seizure after he fell while working on a building under construction Tuesday morning.

A Technical Rescue team arrived at 1105 W. University Ave., the former location of the Florida Independent Alligator newspaper building, shortly after 11:50 a.m. after receiving a 911 call, according to Gainesville Fire Rescue news release.

Part of the building’s roof had to be removed to reach the man, the release said.

He was in stable condition after being brought down from the building, the release said, and was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital for evaluation.
