Florida firefighters fired after getting into brawl while patient waits to be transported to hospital

Two firefighters in Florida were fired after they were spotted getting into a scuffle while transporting a child to the hospital.

The two Osceola County Fire Rescue members were dispatched from Station 42 in October of last year, after a woman called 911 and told them her child was having trouble breathing.

After both mother and child were loaded into the vehicle, firefighters Raymond Powell and Jaison Monanski got into a physical argument, brawling away as the mother waited on them to transport her little one to the hospital.

According to WFTV9, a complaint was eventually filed and the two were soon reprimanded, particularly after footage of their fight surfaced.

Not only were the two firefighters relieved of their duties, their lieutenant was demoted to engineer.

The lieutenant said he didn’t see the fight, but he did have a talk with both Powell and Monanski and settled the dispute.
