First responders put on light show for children’s hospital

Firefighters, paramedics and police officers in the New York city of Rochester engaged in playful community-building with sick kids at Golisano Children’s Hospital this week- and the video footage will light up your day.

Police cars, fire engines and ambulances all parked alongside the hospital windows, lighting the side of the building with strobe lights as the first responders waved at the kids on the floors above.

Not to be outdone, the kids responded by waving flashing lights of their own, creating a heartwarming exchange.

The video was posted to the Rochester NY Police Department Facebook page.
