A family’s two dogs and their cat were rescued from a house fire Friday night in Juno Beach, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reports.

The fire started shortly before 8:30 p.m. at a single story home in the 13000 block of U.S. 1. County and Palm Beach Gardens firefighters responded to the scene and reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the home’s garage.

They immediately entered the residence to search for the source of the fire and brought it under control, said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Fire Rescue. The fire was quickly extinguished and firefighters were able to locate and rescue the family’s pets.

The Red Cross was called to provide assistance for two adults and two children displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Borroto said.
