A fast-moving fire tore through a Brooklyn warehouse early Friday, sending two firefighters to the hospital, authorities said.

The blaze erupted about 2:30 a.m. inside a Van Dam St. warehouse near Nassau Ave. in Greenpoint, and took firefighters over two hours to bring under control, the FDNY said. The warehouse is believed to be a woodworking business.

“It was a heavy body of fire on arrival, with the deterioration of the roof, so we had to withdraw our people and perform a defensive operation from the exterior,” FDNY Assistant Chief of Operations Wayne Cartwright told reporters at the scene.”

Two firefighters were taken to Wyckoff Medical Center with minor injuries, the FDNY said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
