Firefighters from all over honored Christopher Randazzo, a 39-year-old licensed emergency medical technician and paramedic, who was found dead in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.

Three Palm Beach County men were taken into custody in connection to separate crimes, including the murder of a Broward County firefighter.

Jose Garcia Romero, 20, and Torrey Holston, 19, were booked into the county jail early Friday on attempted homicide charges in an incident last week in Lantana, police Chief Sean Scheller said.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office later announced that both men are also facing charges in the murder the an off-duty firefighter and paramedic with the Coral Springs Fire Department who was killed Saturday.

The name of a third suspect was withheld, pending that person’s arrest.

Holston, who the Broward sheriff said lives in West Palm Beach, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail shortly after 2 a.m. Garcia, who lives near Okeeheelee Park in Greenacres, was booked at about 5 Friday morning, records show.

Holston was identified as the gunman in Randazzo’s death and Romero as his accomplice. The third man is currently being sought and will face charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy, the sheriff’s office said.

Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony announced Thursday at the Pompano Beach man’s funeral that someone confessed to Randazzo’s killing and that investigators identified four suspects in the case, according to media reports.

Randazzo’s body was found near a beach resort early Saturday less than half a mile from the Aruba Beach Cafe, where he was last seen alive at about 1 that morning, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact detectives at 954-321-4210 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
