Firefighter put on leave after making false 911 calls

A Massachusetts firefighter has been placed on paid leave pending an investigation to a series of false 911 calls, according to ranking members of the Fall River Fire Department.

FRFD Firefighter Kyle Cusick is accused of making sixteen false calls to 911 over the past year, reporting fictitious fires for unknown reasons.

“This is an extremely serious matter and if found to be absolutely true, serious consequences will be dealt to Mr. Cusick,” Fall River Fire Chief John D. Lynch said.

According to the Boston Globe, Cusick was placed on paid leave during the first week of january and the incident is under investigation.
