A St. Louis firefighter was nearly hit by a stray bullet on New Year’s Eve, which caused damage to his fire station garage door.

The bullet was likely celebratory, having been shot just after midnight as an irresponsible way to ring in the New Year.

One firefighter was closing the overhead door when the round struck, shattering the glass window.

According to Fox2Now, the firefighter was not injured.
