A Mississippi firefighter was forced to engage in a shootout in Jackson after a man attempted to rob him.
The incident took place on Wednesday, and authorities indicate that shots were exchanged between two parties.

According to WLBT, the firefighter was not injured and the suspect left in a stolen car.
Police are attempting to identify the suspect.
