Dashcam shows deputy hit by fast moving car while assisting accident

An Iowa deputy in Dallas County was hit by a car while working a traffic accident in frigid conditions.

In a video posted to social media by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the dashcam footage shows a deputy’s vehicle get sideswiped by an out-of-control motorist who happened to be going too fast through an active accident scene.

Slamming into the patrol car, the vehicle narrowly missed a firefighter and citizen before hitting a stranded vehicle.The deputy sustained minor injuries.

The incident took place on January 28 of this year, but was posted on Monday. It has over 366,000 views.
