A police captain in Massachusetts is being praised after he saved two teenagers from a burning vehicle on Thursday night.

Brockton Police Captain Mark Porcaro was patrolling his usual route at around 8:30 PM when the vehicle crashed into a vacant building, bursting into flames.

Thinking quickly, Porcaro was able to extricate the teenagers before the flames became too intense, and watched as the fire ignited the building.

According to MassLive, it is unclear what caused the crash, and no charges have been reported.

The two teens were sent to a local hospital with minor injuries, and the fire required dry chemical foam to extinguish.
