A California man was arrested after dousing his neighbor’s porch in fuel and attempting to set it on fire- in order to get rid of ghosts.

38-year-old Cuong Pham is charged with arson and attempted murder after pouring fuel on the victim’s front porch, attempting to ignite the fuel but failing by the time authorities arrived.

A woman and two young children were sleeping inside the home at the time of the incident. Notifying police, authorities took Cuong Pham into custody.

“They arrested him,” the homeowner told ABC13. “He said that he didn’t have anything against us, that he thought he saw a ghost in our house and to me that’s just even scarier.”

The incident was caught on security camera.
