California car dealership sparks outrage after joking about deadly fires

Car salesman will stoop to any level to make a sale- and one dealership in California is a good example of that.

The Simi Valley Ford dealership posted a November 11 flyer online, making a fire joke as the community around it burned to the ground.

Located just northeast of the Hill fire, the dealership seemed a bit insensitive to local residents when it bragged: “Well, we didn’t catch fire but these deals are smoking hot. Take a look!”

According to the Daily Mail, locals were outraged by what appeared to be a dealership trying to make a light joke amidst chaos.

In response, the dealership apologized for their insensitive ad amidst the fires, which have killed dozens and left 200 mission.

“Recently, we expressed ourselves in a way that does not reflect our values,” the dealership wrote on social media. “We are sorry. Simi Valley is our home and, like all of us who live here, we will continue to assist during these difficult times.”

Several fires rage in an uncontained manner across the state.
