Two Pennsylvania law enforcement agencies are proud of their own after several officers raced into a burning apartment complex to save Chester County residents.
West Vincent Police Officer JR Kane, Upper Uwchlan Police Officers Robert Paradis, and Bob Davis were lauded by their respective agencies for their actions responding to a Tuesday morning apartment fire.
WCTPD Chief Mike Swinginger recounted how one of his officers reacted to the fire.
“He’s like ‘Chief, I could hear the fire. It was above me,’ He said we had to get them out of there and we had to do it quickly,” said Swinginger. “They did a great job. They really saved lives.”
Body camera footage showed the quick actions of the police officers, who worked at breakneck speed to evacuate the apartment residents.
Over 100 firefighters were called to the scene and took around an hour to get the fire under control.
