Body cam shows injured firefighters & officers coming to each other’s aid after battery facility explodes

Body camera footage that captured a major explosion at a battery storage facility in April has finally been released, documenting a rare event- firefighters being rescued.

The incident took place just before 6 PM, and footage shows officers leading injured firefighters out of the blast area, telling Dispatch that they had three wounded firefighters with them.

“Let me see,” one officer can be heard saying. “Move your hand. I got some gauze.”

One firefighter looked up at a police officer and asked if backup was on their way.

“Do we got the world coming?” one firefighter asked.

“Yep,” an officer replied. “We got people coming, man.”

According to ABC15, four firefighters were sent to the hospital.
