A firefighter at Scott Air Force Base distributed graphic videos of a man sexually assaulting a girl who appeared to be about 7 to 9 years old, according to federal criminal charges.

Jace A. Faugno, of the 5300 block of Savoy Court in St. Louis, is charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography. The charges were filed in U.S. District Court of Southern Illinois on Friday.

FBI agents first made contact with Faugno on the messaging app Kik.

Through Kik, Faugno allegedly sent videos of child pornography to undercover agents on Sept. 30 and Oct. 5.

An undercover FBI agent traced the IP address to a computer at a fire station at Scott Air Base near Belleville, the charges say.

Faugno allegedly told two agents that he had molested a 9-year-old girl and said he would meet with the agents to have sex with their underage daughters.

On Nov. 2, Faugno was interviewed by FBI agents and admitted to distributing child porn and to having discussions about the possibility of having sex with underage girls, according to charging documents.

Federal prosecutors are asking that he be held until trial.
