A 40-foot RV caught fire Friday night on Florida’s Turnpike as it carried several dragsters and racing fuel, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reported.

Video from overnight on the Turnpike in the Boca area. #Firefighters did a fantastic job extinguishing this fully engulfed RV and preventing the fire from reaching the trailer it was towing that contained several dragsters and racing fuel!

The fire took place just north of Glades Road in suburban Boca Raton just after 9:30 p.m., said Capt. Albert Borroto, Fire Rescue spokesman. Responders fought the blaze for about 10 minutes before getting it under control.

The fire, which completely engulfed the RV, did not spread to the trailer transporting the fuel. Fire Rescue reported no injuries but an investigator will examine the crash.
