The Ambassador Hotel, a 114-year-old historic building just south of downtown Dallas, was destroyed by a fire on Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out at the five-story structure at 1:30 a.m. Nearly 100 firefighters responded to the scene and contained the fire around 5 a.m., according to the Dallas Morning News.
The vacant building was in the midst of a redevelopment project, according to The Dallas Morning News.
No injuries were reported.
