A Delaware firefighter has succumbed to injuries sustained after an arson in December.

Wilmington Fire Chief Anthony Goode announced the death of Senior Firefighter Ardy Hope on Thursday, saying she died around 4:30 PM.

Hope was one of three firefighters caught up in the infamous September 24th fire that took the lives of Lieutenant Christopher Leach and Senior Firefighter Jerry Fickes, who were killed when the first floor of the burning home collapsed on top of them. Hope and another firefighter were injured in the incident, but she would later die of her wounds. Leach and Fickes were given a grand sendoff to the afterlife by the state of Delaware and firefighters all over the country, including a limited IPA beer brewed in their honor.

According to NBC10, 27-year-old Beatrice Fana-Ruiz is charged with arson and murder for setting the fire.
