Large Home Burns In Upper Saddle River
January 11, 2013

New Jersey - Four alarms were transmitted for a fire in an unoccupied sprawling house in Upper Saddle River on January 11th. The fire started after 4:30 AM at 1 Sandstone Ridge, a dead end cul-de-sac. The flames burned off the attic and roof of the 2 ½ story structure. Two tower ladders, a ladder pipe, and several handlines were used to control the fire by about 6:30. Water supply to the area was limited, prompting the call for additional alarms. No serious injuries were reported.

Units from Ramsey, Saddle River, Mahwah, Ho-Ho-Kus, Montvale, Wyckoff, Waldwick, Midland Park, Franklin Lakes, Woodcliff Lake, Allendale, and Box 54 worked the fire or covered firehouses.
