Lexington Firefighters Rescue Woman From Porch Roof
United States (Kentucky) -
Lexington firefighters rescued a woman from a porch roof at a home on East Maxwell Street early Thursday morning. Units were sent to the scene just after 1 a.m., Major Mike Bossert said. Bossert said the woman apparently fell onto the porch from a third-story fire escape and was injured.
Firefighters, concerned about the ability of the porch to withstand additional weight, used a ladder to reach the woman.
The woman, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital with a possible spinal injury, Bossert said.
