Fire Truck Struck By Pickup While At Another Irving Wreck
United States (Texas) -
A man suspected of driving drunk steered his pickup into the back of an Irving fire truck early Monday on Loop 12, but no firefighters were injured, Irving police said Monday. Firefighters had to extract the driver out of the vehicle, but information was not available on the condition of that person.
The accident was reported shortly after 2 a.m. Monday on southbound Loop 12 near Texas 114 as the fire truck was on the scene of a traffic accident where another vehicle had flipped over. Police did not release information on that accident. The scene was near where Texas Stadium once stood.
Investigators believe the driver of the vehicle that hit the fire truck may have been intoxicated.
