Fire Destroys Three Homes In Tamaqua
United States (Pennsylvania) - An early-morning fire swept through three row homes in Tamaqua today. The fire was reported at 5:25 a.m. at 132 Orwigsburg St. but three homes were engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. They fire has been extinguished, but firefighters were still on scene as of 7:30 a.m.

The Schuylkill County Communications Center said there were no reports of injuries.

The two-alarm fire brought firefighters from Carbon and Schuylkill counties, including Coaldale, Summit Hill and Lansford. Pottsville's Rapid Response Team also was dispatched. According to reports from the scene, flames tore through the the wood-framed structures. At one point, flames stretched into the street and destroyed utility lines running in front of the houses.

At least one of the three dwellings was occupied.
