Fire Hits Crowded Jakarta Neighborhood
World - A fire gutted dozens of houses in a densely populated makeshift area of North Jakarta early Tuesday, Indonesian officials said. Fire equipment arrived at the location about 3:20 a.m. to extinguish the fire, Antara, the official Indonesian news agency, said. No mention of casualties or how many people were affected was included in the report.

"At least 20 firetrucks are deployed to put out the fire," Maun, an official of the North Jakarta fire brigade, said told The Jakarta Post.

The fire came two weeks after a blaze destroyed the state oil and gas firm Pertamina's largest fuel depot, the cause of which is still unknown, the Post said.
