Two Fort Worth Firefighters Injured When Roof Collapses
Two Fort Worth firefighters were taken to a hospital early Friday after being injured when a roof collapsed in a house fire they were fighting.

Crew members from Engine 7 were battling the fire at 7532 Woodfield Road in east Fort Worth early Friday when the roof collapsed, trapping some of the firefighters. Jimmy Gray, 44, a 14-year veteran, and Dallas Murr, 39, a 9-year veteran, were able to free themselves after being trapped, according to a news release.

They were conscious and alert when transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, where they were being evaluated for possible head and neck injuries.

The six residents of the house escaped unharmed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Check back later for more information.
