United States (California) - LAFD Major Emergency 1/21/2014 It took over 140 LA Firefighters over two hours to control a spectacular blaze that tore through a vacant auto dealership on the 5200 block of West Centinela Avenue in L.A.'s Ladera Heights district. Firefighters first on scene had heavy fire showing from the service bays that eventually spread to the second floor office section of the one and two story complex. There were reports of two transients rescued from the roof when Firefighters first arrived on scene. The main bulk of fire was knocked down with numerous handlines and ladder pipes. Los Angeles County Fire Department also had a second alarm assignment on scene. The cause of the 2:30 AM blaze is under investigation
