No Injuries In Chesterfield Strip Mall Fire
Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged two businesses in a strip mall in Chesterfield County on Sunday night. The fire was reported at 9:30 p.m at the 360 West Shopping Center, at the intersection of Hull Street and Turner roads, a short distance west of the Richmond city line.
Firefighters from Chesterfield and Richmond responded to the call, and Chesterfield Lt. Jason Elmore said the first units encountered significant fire and smoke in a tax preparation business. The damage spread to an adjoining hair salon before firefighters brought it under control.
No one was in either business at the time, Elmore said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation today.
