Cabbie Hurt After Colliding With Fire Truck Downtown
United States (Illinois) - A cab driver was injured on Wacker Drive after colliding with a Chicago fire truck on its way to a fire call this morning. The taxi collided with Truck No. 6 about 10:20 a.m. at Wacker and Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Sean Flynn, a department spokesman.

The fire truck was on its way to a fire on Kingsbury when the wreck happened.

The cabbie was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good to fair condition with back pain, according to Flynn.

Five firefighters and one passenger in the cab declined medical treatment, according to Flynn.
