No Charges In Bedford Fire Truck Accident
United States (Virginia) -
No charges will be filed in connection with an accident in which a Bedford fire truck overturned while responding to a call, said Lt. Todd Foreman of the Bedford Police Department. The Bedford Fire Department's Engine 1 left the city's Christmas parade shortly before noon Dec. 1 to go to a reported brush fire in the 4100 block of Peaks Road.
The truck flipped over while making a turn. Four firefighters were sent to the hospital, but all were at home recovering by Dec. 4.
The department has a reserve engine it can use when a primary engine is damaged.
