Bedford Firefighters Injured After Truck Rolls
A Bedford City Fire Department truck overturned Saturday, injuring four firefighters. According to a news release from Chief Brad Creasy, the engine was headed to a brush fire on Peaks Road when it overturned shortly before noon in a single-vehicle wreck in the 1200 block of Peaks Street.

Two of the firefighters suffered serious injuries. According to Bedford spokeswoman Marci Stone, one was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and another was transported to Lynchburg in an ambulance.

All firefighters were released from hospitals by early Saturday evening.
