Firefighters Rescue Woman After Building Collapse
United States (Missouri) -
Firefighters this afternoon rescued a woman from a collapsed building in the 1300 block of North Garrison Avenue, authorities said. St. Louis Fire Capt. Dan Sutter said a three-story building collapsed onto another three-story building, briefly trapping two people inside. Firefighters went in and pulled a woman out through a second-floor window.
She refused medical treatment, Sutter said.
Sutter said it was unclear what caused the collapses but that high winds could have been a possible factor.
