United Kingdom - A highland cow had to be cut free by firefighters after getting its horns trapped in a feeder. Crews from Eastleigh fire station and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services specialist Rural Safety Team attended the call at 1.55 pm on Tuesday, January 16.

They arrived at the farm in Bishopstoke Road, Bishopstoke and found the cow had wedged its horns between the bars of the feeder. Using a silage bail they managed to keep the cow’s head down while firefighters cut away the top of the metal feeder. This allowed the cow to lift its head up and over the lip of the feeder and wander away.
